If you are interested in your child attending our school, we would be delighted to welcome you for a visit. Our Open Evening takes place in July, and our Open Mornings are held at the end of September. Devon County Council is the admissions authority for our school and is responsible for admissions policies and decisions relating to applications for admission. We have an admissions policy for each academic year. Policies are written to comply with the School Admissions Code 2021 and the School Admissions Appeals Code 2022. We take part in the normal round and the in-year co-ordinated admissions schemes of Devon County Council.

Once you decide you would like a place you must make a formal application. This applies to all new admissions, including children who have a sibling at the school and children who have previously been pupils here.  You can do this by applying to the Local Authority (Devon County Council).

There is an appeals process if an application is refused; this is detailed at  School admission appeals - Children, families and education.  The Admission Appeals Timetable for 2026 & 2027 is listed at the end of this page.

The closing date for applications for the Year 7 Normal Round intake is 31 October. Places are offered on 1 March for entry the following September. Applications made after the Normal Round process are known as In-Year Admissions.
