The Ten Tors event has always been aimed at young people and is a life changing experience. Well now this could be your chance to live your dream! South Dartmoor Community College is offering 12 spaces to 12 adults to complete a 35 mile route over two days 5th/6th June, including camping and navigating across 10 Dartmoor Tors to raise money to enable disadvantaged students to take part in South Dartmoor Academy expeditions.

You will be supported by a group of professionals and training will start months before the event. You will be guided through every aspect of navigation, kit advice, what to wear and carry on the event, weather awareness, fitness advice, support, fundraising tips and encouragement on the day. Current Ten Tor participants will be on hand too.

At the end of the weekend successful participants will get a Completion Certificate, a celebratory medal and enjoy a well  earned pasty – just like at the real event! Training can take place with the current rule of six in a group, all other current Covid regulations will be adhered to for training and for the event.
