Fareshare are a national charity who have arranged for us to receive thrice weekly donations of surplus produce from our nearest Asda superstore.
The produce is then used to supply our Beehive group (8-9am every morning). During the school holidays the produce continues to be donated and is then used to supply our random acts of kindness group "Spread the Love". The idea behind the group is that students come in to school, collect produce and then donate it to people they feel would benefit from it.
Shelley Wright (development manager for Devon and Cornwall) was so impressed with the "Spread the Love" provision that she has taken the idea to other schools who are keen to try out their own versions!
