Year 8 Parents’ Evening Postponement and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra Trip Cancellation (31-01-19)
We have been carefully monitoring the Met Office weather forecast over the last 24 hours. The yellow weather warning issued for snow and ice this afternoon/evening has now been upgraded to an amber warning. The timing of this directly coincides with our Year 8 Parents/Options evening and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra trip to Tiverton. For the safety of students, parents and staff I have made the decision to postpone the Year 8 Parents’ Evening and it will instead take place on Monday 4th February from 16:15 – 19:30 and any appointments that you have made to meet with teachers will remain booked in the online booking system. However we do ask that if you can no longer make any or all of your appointments that you cancel or amend them through the online booking system which has reopened and will remain open until 8am on the morning of Monday 4th February. If you are no longer able to attend an appointment then arrangements will be made for your son/daughter’s teacher to contact you. Please contact the school or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any concerns or queries.
Regrettably the music trip to Tiverton is also cancelled for the same safety concerns. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but trust you understand the reason for these decisions.
