Chemistry Competition

Year 12 Chemistry students recently competed in the Royal Society of Chemistry Schools' Analyst Competition.
The competition took them through three experiments exploring the world of analytical chemistry, putting their practical and mathematical skills to the test. Once students had collected and reviewed their results, they had to decide whether the mysterious illness that had befallen a local pharmacist involved foul play…

It was a great opportunity for students to experience the world of forensic science and apply what they had learnt this year to the ‘real world’.
