SDCC in UK Top 25 for Cricket

South Dartmoor is proud to announce that it has been recognised as one of the top 25 state schools for cricket in the UK by The Cricketer magazine. This accolade highlights the exceptional quality and enjoyment of cricket across our school community.

The annual Schools Guide, produced by The Cricketer, celebrates the 195 best schools for cricket nationwide. This year’s edition features more state schools than ever before, with 25 earning a place in this prestigious list.

Rob Pryke, Head of Cricket at South Dartmoor, commented:

“It is a tremendous honour to be recognised once again as one of the leading state schools for cricket in the UK. This achievement reflects the enthusiasm and commitment of our students and staff. Cricket continues to thrive here, with regular attendance of 30–60 students at our college cricket club and opportunities provided through the REACH programme.
We field four competitive teams and proudly maintain a 1st XI fixture against the Marylebone Cricket Club. I would like to thank everyone who contributes to the success of cricket at South Dartmoor, particularly Mr Malone and our Sixth Form students for their invaluable support.”
