The results reflect the ambition, determination and hard work of students, supported by the expertise and care of staff and the invaluable encouragement of families. Almost a quarter of students achieved the highest grades of A* or A, while 82% of all grades were awarded at A*–C.

Many students will now take up places at universities and specialist institutions, including prestigious Russell Group universities. Among the many individual successes, Miriam achieved two A*s, two As and a B in maths and science-based subjects and intends to study Aeronautics and Astronautics at Southampton; Maya achieved one A* and three As and is going on to study Anthropology and English Literature; Freddie achieved triple Distinction Star in CTech Sport and Physical Exercise, the equivalent of three A*s, and plans to study Sport and Exercise Science at Nottingham; Erin, who returned to our Sixth Form, secured the equivalent of two A*s and an A for a place at the highly prestigious Wilkes Academy of Performing Arts.

“I am incredibly proud of our Year 13 students. They have been a joyful, committed and ambitious group to teach, and these results are a testament to their talent, determination and hard work. It is wonderful to see them now ready to take their next steps with such confidence, whether that is at university, in specialist training, or through other exciting opportunities. We know they will go on to achieve great things and they leave South Dartmoor with our warmest congratulations and very best wishes.”

We look forward to seeing all that they achieve in the future and hope they will remain part of our extended South Dartmoor family as they continue their journeys.
