Body Language Week 2026

Following the excitement and anticipation of Body Language 2026, we are delighted to celebrate the tremendous success of this year’s college dance production, alongside the equally inspiring Primary Body Language 2026 event.

From the moment the hum of the audience quietened, it was clear that this was a truly special occasion. The energy, confidence and talent displayed by our students lit up the stage and captivated the audience throughout. Every scene reflected not only their enthusiasm, but also the remarkable dedication behind the scenes.

Audience feedback was overwhelmingly positive. One attendee shared how they “can’t wait to be a Year 7 parent in September” after witnessing the performance, while another commented on the “time, care and commitment that must have gone into the rehearsals and performance...every performance was excellent, and it was a real privilege to be in the audience.” Such words are a testament to the hard work, commitment and passion of everyone involved.

This spirit of celebration and community was echoed in Primary Body Language (PBL) 2026, which proved to be a truly memorable showcase of creativity, collaboration and inspiration. Audiences were treated to an uplifting evening of dance, storytelling and imagination, brought to life by pupils from seven of our feeder primary schools.

The children performed with confidence, enthusiasm and maturity, exploring this year’s theme of Inspirational Quotes through movement and music. Their pieces conveyed powerful messages of resilience, kindness, ambition and hope, filling the audience with pride and reminding us why this event remains such a highlight of the school year.

The dedication of staff — both within our school and across our primary partners — has been exceptional. Their time, care and commitment have enabled pupils to grow in confidence and deliver performances of the highest quality.

We are also proud to share that, across the Let's Dance and Primary Body Language performances, an incredible £2,508.46 was raised through ticket sales and raffle contributions. This will directly support the food programme at Nayamba School in Zambia, providing meals for 340 pupils for over five months. It is deeply moving to know that the joy and effort shown by our young performers will make such a meaningful difference to others.

A huge thank you to everyone who made these events possible — our talented performers, dedicated staff, supportive families, volunteers and audiences. Together, we have celebrated not only outstanding performances, but also the strength, generosity and spirit of our community.

Our sincere thanks to Ashburton Arts, who kindly provided the lighting hire equipment for Body Language 2026.
