South Dartmoor Community College has a modern, well equipped library which is available throughout the day. The library also contains computer suites and a shop which sells most of the equipment students need to enable them to study effectively.
It is open at the following times:

The library is available all day for private study by the Sixth Form during their study periods. A librarian will always be available to help them find resources and to advise on Home Learning.
- Students who arrive early may use the library for home learning, quiet reading for pleasure or preparation for the day
- After hours learning: library staff available to support students with home learning and independent study (Mondays to Thursdays only)
- The library is also open during morning break (11:25 - 11:45) and lunchtime (12:45pm - 13:35)
The library is an environment in which students are welcome to come and enjoy an area where quiet and serious independent work and research can take place. It may be used for private reading for pleasure, for borrowing reading books and text books to help you with your studies and home learning. All computers are connected to the internet. It stocks a wide range of books, CDs and DVDs on all subjects as well as revision guides and all textbooks used in the college.
