Buy a Goat results 2010

6th form students have been busy raising money for the annual ‘Buy a Goat’ project, on behalf of World Vision.

Last year, as a 6th form, we raised £1139.30, coming second to Sharp Tor. This year, only 6th formers took part, and we managed to raise even more than last year!

The total raised for 2009/10 was: £1,460 .17 – a fantastic achievement!

A Buy a Goat GoatAs well as 7 Goats, we have bought a number of items, including:

Wet Sponges raise Buy a Goat Funds

Four brave staff members, including Head of Sixth Form Phil Randall, volunteered to be the targets during wet sponge throwing in aid of Buy a Goat.

Phil, Vicki, Julia and Voldis - brave the cold weather in aid of Buy a Goat

Phil, Vicki, Julia and Voldis - the human targets for the wet sponges!

Target shooting practice

Vicki, Julia and Voldis prepare to be soaked.

Aiming for a great UCAS reference from the Head of 6th Form?

Lauren uses her hockey skills to hit her target - no doubt Phil will bear this in mind when he writes her UCAS reference!

A complete soaking for Phil

Sponge throwing ended up as bucket emptying - much to Phil's obvious delight.

A bucketful of fun to finish the event

A last throw of the water to ensure all four 'willing' volunteers are completely drenched on a cold, crisp day in December.
