Uniform – Ordering Information Update
School uniform is ordered online through SWI who will deliver directly to South Dartmoor Community College. However, it is their standard policy to suspend this service during the summer holidays. The last delivery to SDCC from SWI will arrive the week commencing July 18th and then restart from the week commencing September 5th.
Therefore, we advise that any orders placed between these dates should be delivered to your home address in order to receive them in time for the start of term. SWI have also stated that to guarantee your order will be delivered in time for September, all orders must be placed by Friday 5th August.
We hold a full sizing set of all compulsory uniform items at College should you wish to try on items before you shop online. These can be found in the library, with access available between 3:35-5pm Monday-Thursday during term time only.
We also have a limited number of discounted non-compulsory uniform items for sale from our own uniform stocks. These remain part of the permitted uniform but are only available on a first come first served basis as we will not be reordering any items. This includes both jumpers and cardigans.
These can be purchased from the library and accessed at the times above. From September students will also be able to purchase items through the stationery shop as part of the usual College day.

All students have had an opportunity to vote for our new school tie (price £4.20). As a result students have chosen to represent each house colour; we will be introducing these for our new Year 7 intake in September.
For year 6 pupils starting in September 2016, parents should visit our ParentPay shop online in advance of collection. Ties will be available for collection from the Ashmoor Sports Centre Reception on Friday 2 September (10am-10.00pm). Payments by cash or card will also be acceptable on collection. We regret that we are unable to accept payment by cheque on that day.
We advise that parents should check the college website before coming in on September 2, just in case there has been any problem with the delivery of the ties. We think this is unlikely, but we do not want parents to have a wasted journey.
Any ties not collected on September 2 will be issued to students on Monday 5th September in the Sports Hall from 8.45. Payment by cash, sent in with the student in a named sealed envelope, will be acceptable at this time.
There will be no requirement for Years 8-11 to change from their existing red and black tie, however this tie is not available for purchase any more, so should a student in Years 8-11 require a new tie, they will need to purchase a new style one, for the house they are in. From Monday 5th September, new/replacement ties can be bought through ParentPay and/or the stationery shop.
