South Dartmoor Impresses in Performance Tables

South Dartmoor are today celebrating after the latest round of published ‘League Tables’ for GCSE and Level results, following the validation and finalisation of summer 2015 results.

We are incredibly proud of both our Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 results, which show that the education and progress made at South Dartmoor outperforms the majority of other local schools and reinforces our belief that we are providing an excellent learning experience with great outcomes for our students.

At GCSE, we are one of only 3 South Devon non-selective comprehensive schools to be above the national average (57%) and perform excellently in South Devon as the third highest attaining College.

At A Level, our Sixth Form performs exceptionally well – we are proud to be validated as the highest performing non-selective comprehensive post 16 offer in the whole of Devon, in terms of students achieving 3 A Levels at A*-E, and the second highest in the whole of Devon in term of Average Points Score.

We are delighted for everyone associated with these results – they are down to the incredible commitment of a number of people – staff, students and the support of families who work so hard to ensure that our students can achieve the best possible outcomes.

Hugh Bellamy, Executive Principal said “It is very pleasing to note how well South Dartmoor Community College is performing at Key Stage 4 and %.  We don’t spend huge amounts of money on banners and advertising but where we do invest, in high quality teaching and learning means we get results that speak for themselves."
