College Open Events

Dear Parents,

I would like to invite you and your Year 5 or Year 6 child to one of our Open Events where there will be the opportunity to hear about our approaches to education, ask questions, meet staff and tour the College.  In order to give everyone the best possible experience we have allocated certain dates to each of our feeder Primary Schools:

Tuesday 27 September - Ashburton, Buckfastleigh, Buckfast St Marys and any out of catchment school

Wednesday 28 September  - Blackpool, Ilsington, St Catherines and any out of catchment school

Thursday 29 September - Moretonhampstead, Bovey Tracey, Widecombe and any out of catchment school

If for any reason you are unable to attend on the specified morning for your school, please do come along on one of the alternative dates, or if you would like to visit us at another time, please contact the College by telephone - 01364 652230. You are welcome to bring your child but we would ask that you have permission from their current school.

In addition to the Open Mornings we will hold an Open Evening on Thursday 6 October from 6 p.m. when parents and students are invited from all Primary Schools to join us for demonstrations, subject showcases and refreshments.

The times for the evening:                  Thursday October 6 Learning Together

6.10pm                                                Open site, demonstrations, subject showcases.

I hope that by offering three morning sessions and an evening, groups will be of reasonable sizes so that we can personally meet as many of you as possible.  Please be aware that parking for visitors is limited and it may be necessary to allow time to find a roadside parking space. This has been further restricted by double yellow lines around the school, therefore please allow plenty of time to park.  Some parking will be available on the basketball courts in front of Main Reception.  On the evening of Thursday 6 October, the car park in Place Lane will have some spaces available.  Staff and students will direct you to available spaces.

There will be opportunities during the coming year for your child to visit us as part of the liaison programme, including a transition week commencing Monday 10th July 2016.  I look forward to meeting you and promise you a warm, friendly welcome and an informative programme.
