Key Stage 4 Results 2009

GCSE results at South Dartmoor Community College reached an all-time high this year with 60.2% of students achieving five A*-C grades including English and Maths (the Government’s new benchmark) and 75.3% gaining five A*-C grades overall.  This is another increase on last year’s figure and the best ever overall high grade performance recorded by students at the College.

Girls outperformed boys again with 87% of girls compared to 65% of boys achieving the overall five high grade figure. Grades at A* and A were particularly pleasing.   Early overall.  Value-Added analysis  also shows improvement with students achieving almost half a grade on average higher (0.46) compared to national subject figures.
