Year 9 Option Choices 2010 - 12
Welcome to the Year 9 Options process. The booklet available to download below provides all the written information you need to make your 4 choices of option subjects for Years 10 and 11. You will also need to talk them through with many people – your parents, teachers, form tutor, connexions officers, Mrs Barker (Careers) – to be sure you are making sensible choices.

Late Addition: Level 2 Diploma in Environmental and Land Based Studies (ELBS)
You will use this booklet to help you choose 4 subjects to continue into year 10. You must make this choice carefully.
The deadline for your decision is: Friday 5 MARCH 2010
Places on some courses are limited by facilities. If these are over subscribed, the department will choose the students who they feel are best suited to their subject. They will take account of both your ability and your attitude to their subject during Year 9.
Courses with limited places that were very popular last year included:
- NVQ Food Preparation and Cooking
- Motor Vehicle Certificate
- Photography
These subjects are very likely to be oversubscribed and to be asked to choose students on the basis of Year 9 performance.
